[YEP-DC] Volunteer Opportunity: Children's Art Group at the District Alliance for Safe Housing

The District Alliance for Safe Housing, or DASH, provides safe housing and works to prevent homelessness caused by domestic violence in DC. DASH is currently the largest safe housing provider in DC. In 2013 we safely housed 225 individuals (94 women and 131 children) in our programs, providing over 80,000 "safe nights" for survivors away from the threat of violence.

We are seeking dedicated artists, art enthusiasts, kid enthusiasts or just enthusiasts to volunteer every week at Children's Art Group. Art group is run by two amazing volunteers from the Red Derby and takes place every Tuesday from 6-7:30pm. Volunteers support the children as they engage in creative art projects. You do not need to be an artist in order to help out. 

We are looking for volunteers who can attend every or almost every week for the next 9-12 months. Please email: mvangenadams@dashdc.org for more information and the address of the program!
