[YEP-DC] YEP-DC Blog Post: Tablet program in Zambia credited for drop in teacher absenteeism

After a tablet program was introduced in Zambian schools to support both teachers (in lesson planning) and students (in personalized learning), teacher absenteeism dropped from 68 percent to almost zero. Clare Stead, education director at iSchool Zambia (now in its third year) says teachers feel more supported, students are more engaged, and the environment -- as a whole -- is more conducive to learning. Recess blogger Wenna Price talked to Stead; read more about the program in this week's post, "iSchool: Delivering Tablets to Zambian Schools," here: http://www.youngedprofessionals.org/1/post/2014/02/ischool-delivering-tablets-to-zambian-schools.html
