[YEP-DC] Advocacy Manager at the National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education

A small but growing non-profit education association is seeking an Advocacy Manager. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of advocacy, including serving as a compelling, articulate spokesperson; guiding and successfully representing the association's policy priorities; developing and implementing a strategic and innovative advocacy plan; and cultivating and maintaining a strong network of Congressional, Administration, associations/partner organizations. We are seeking a team player with integrity, outstanding communications skills and sound judgment. An experienced understanding of the federal legislative and budget process is essential, as is knowledge of education, particularly Career Technical Education, and workforce development policy.

Applicant must be a skilled multi-tasker and have excellent, demonstrable communication, presentation, writing, social media, and organizational skills. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with a focus on education, law or public policy plus three years of related experience in advocacy, policy development and legislative analysis. Good benefits and salary commensurate with experience.
