Betsy,Accessibility to tonight's SMD 5C03 meeting could be a challenge given our current plans to meet in the basement. I'm contacting Reverend Cheek to see if we can use a more accessible part of the church.Thank you for raising this important point.HughOn Mon, Nov 12, 2012 at 12:09 PM, John T. Checking on the accessibility of the Pioneer Room and will let you know. The Upper Church (as they call it at St. Martin's) is accessible via a ramp at the corner of North Cap and T, but I am not sure about how one gets from the Upper Church to the Pioneer Room if one uses a wheelchair or needs some form of assistance. (I would say that same about Metro Wesley: the sanctuary is accessible, but I don't if the lower level meeting rooms are accessible; if the meeting is in the sanctuary, then all is well.)
You are right that all announcements should include the info you note as well as the availability of family friendly facilities. Remembering all these things and checking on them is a whole task in itself. So thanks for the reminder.

Any info on the accessibility of the building ? I don't recall that there are too many steps on N Cap to enter the front door, but is that where we will enter, or another door? (Every step counts for me now!)John-As for the flooding meeting on Thursday, there is a ramp on the east side of the steps on T, isn't there? Someone asked if St. Martin's was accessible for the last BCA meeting, but I never saw an answer.Also- please copy this group on the meeting flyer.
To all future BCA officers and ANC commissioners-Please give more detailed entry info for meetings. Even if is a site of many previous meetings, there could (hopefully) be someone attending for the first time. Or someone who suddenly needs the info (like me!) I have been attending meetings at St. George's since 2009 and did not know they had an elevator - or that a key would be required to use the stair lift. Thanks!!Betsy McDanielOn Monday, November 5, 2012, Commissioner Youngblood wrote:Dear Neighbors,Please join us for the final Single Member District 5C03 on the evening of Monday, 12 November 2012, from 7-9pm, at Metropolitan Wesley AME Zion Church.
