Just as state policymakers worked together on a common-sense solution to the need for common state standards, it is critical that state policymakers take the lead in finding collaborative solutions to states' interdependent data challenges. It is vital that policymakers understand these challenges and work with other state policymakers to standardize education data, support student record exchanges, share limited and appropriate data across state lines, and define and use common metrics.
Join the Data Quality Campaign's (DQC) Executive Director Aimee Guidera for a discussion with a panel of experts about the challenges and lessons learned from efforts to date. DQC will release two related publications at this event.
Panel Experts include:
- Shawn Bay, eScholar
- Lori Fey, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation
- Marina Martin, U.S. Department of Education
- Mark Schneider, American Institutes for Research
- Bob Swiggum, Georgia Department of Education
- Rick Torres, National Student Clearinghouse
Use hashtag #BreakingSilos to join us on Twitter during the event!
Seats are limited. Register now <http://dqcmulitstate.eventbrite.com/> to join the discussion in person or virtually by webcast.
