Year Up is a national non-profit organization seeking 18-24 year-old students for a paid, year-long training and internship program focused on information technology and business for the March 2013 Cohort. Students earn 18 college credits and are trained in computer hardware and software, communications, professional development and life skills, and are placed at a Fortune 500 Company or major organization for a 6 month internship.
We take a holistic approach to our students' success and development. They work with support staff, mentors and a peer support network. Within 4 months of completing the program, 85% of Year Up graduates are employed full time or enrolled in college full-time.
Applicants for the March Cohort must attend a mandatory open house at Year Up (1560 Wilson Blvd, Suite 350 Arlington, VA 22209, Roslyn Metro) and submit an application by December 20th. See the schedule below and attached flier for more information! http://www.yearup.org
For additional information, to set up a partnership or a group presentation for potential applicants, please contact Courtnye Lloyd at CLloyd@yearup.org or (703) 982-0466.
