[YEP-DC] DCPS Urban Education Leaders Internship Program

DCPS is still accepting applications for its fall cohort of the Urban Education Leaders Internship Program!

UELIP

The DC Public Schools' Urban Education Leaders Internship Program (UELIP) is designed to provide undergraduate, graduate and recent graduates with the opportunity to learn about and contribute to the unique and exciting work of managing an urban school district.

The fellowship takes place in the central office of the DC Public Schools (DCPS), one of the most innovative public school districts in the United States. UELIP associates have the opportunity to participate in mission-critical projects for DCPS, and to learn about closing the achievement gap from the front lines of the district central office.

We welcome applications from rising college juniors, seniors, and recent graduates for the junior associate position. Students enrolled in graduate programs, professional degree programs, and teachers or other education professionals are invited to apply for the senior associate position.

  • Fall 2012 Program Dates:  September 24, 2012 - December 14, 2012

During the fall and spring terms, associates are expected to contribute a minimum of 15 hours/week of their time to UELIP. The summer program requires a minimum of 40 hours/week, though associates enrolled in summer classes may be accepted on a part-time basis.
