YEP-DC will be partnering with City Year for this year's MLK Day of Service! Every Martin Luther King Jr. Day, City Year mobilizes its 2,800 corps members and thousands of other volunteers for a day of service in communities across the nation, and this year we are excited to work with them to support a local DC school! Please support us and the DC community by volunteering on your day off! Our specific duties are still TBD, but they will likely include mural painting, putting together care packages for the homeless, and other similar activities.
Date: Monday January 19, 2015
Time: 9:00am-1:00pm
Location: Check-in at Eastern HS, and then our group will be stationed to volunteer at Eliot-Hine MS. The Stadium-Armory Metro is less than a 5 minute walk to Eastern, and Eliot-Hine is directly behind it.
