We wanted to inform you that YEP-DC is participating as a partner organization in #GivingTuesday. Now in its third year, Giving Tuesday is an online fundraising campaign for nonprofits, following Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. Last year, over 2,500 nonprofit, institutional and corporate partners got involved and donors gave 90 percent more to charity on Giving Tuesday than the previous year. Launched by New York's 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation, the movement has grown dramatically in its donations and in number of participants.
We need your help! Please spread the word through your personal social networks and encourage people to donate to YEP-DC on December 2!
