The Associate Board of the Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) invites you to attend a Posada Art and Gift Fair, a family-friendly event to get you in the holiday spirit. Join us for an afternoon of art and music making, delicious treats, shopping, and more! A portion of the proceeds from the event will support LAYC.
Posada Art and Gift Fair Kiosks:
CREATE your own gifts for teachers, parents, friends, and family! Children 4+ are encouraged to make a gift for their teachers! Sign up for $20 and reserve your seat to make a pair of earrings or a bookmarker plus a holiday card.
PLAY music! Bring an instrument and join local musicians in playing a few tunes.
TASTE traditional Latin American dishes. You will be able to purchase delicious food including Mexican tamales and champurado.
SHOP from local artisans. Skip the mall, and buy one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts.
And…
LEARN about the great work LAYC does to empower a diverse population of youth.
WIN great prizes. Purchase raffle tickets to win gift certificates to your favorite shops and restaurants and other prizes valued at over $100! (Need not be present to win). You may donate a gently used jacket at the event and get a free raffle ticket. Jackets will be donated to LAYC program participants.
Can't make it? You can still contribute. Purchase raffle tickets or sponsor LAYC youth to create their own gifts this holiday season. You may also give any amount at www.layc-dc.org/give
