[YEP-DC] Internship Posting: Magnet Schools of America, 2015 Spring Internship

Magnet Schools of America (MSA) is offering a spring internship opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students interested in educational nonprofit work with a premier public school choice organization. Through his or her work with MSA, the intern will be able to align the organization's mission with daily operations ranging from membership outreach, communications (social media/marketing), conference planning and logistics, education policy research/updates, and professional development opportunities provided by MSA.  The intern will also gain specific knowledge about magnet schools, the school choice movement, and the current successes and challenges of the K-12 public education system.

The spring internship provides unparalleled exposure to the inner workings of a small non-profit, catering to over 2,000 institutions and more than 7,000 contacts. The intern will assist with planning and logistics for our national events and will work on administrative projects related to our national awards program and association management system.

This position is a great opportunity for a high-achieving individual to learn about the many ways nonprofits communicate and engage with their supporters.  A variety of skills, including writing and communications, data management, design, and marketing to plan a successful event are preferred.

The intern will receive a small stipend depending on the number of hours worked during the semester.  We also are happy to work with your school to complete any paperwork to satisfy course credit or other internship-related requirements.
