[YEP-DC] Help Us Fill Those Bookshelves! Apply for a First Book-DC Book Grant Today!

Dear Educators,

 

If you're a classroom teacher and/or lead an organization serving kids in the DC area in need of books, apply for a First Book-DC book grant today! 

 

The First Book-DC Advisory Board raises funds to provide eligible classrooms and programs with high-quality, brand-new books to the students they serve, and we are currently accepting applications for our Fall 2014 grant cycle. After receiving a grant, educators can select books from the First Book National Marketplace and create lesson plans and classroom activities using these books. These books are then given to the kids to take home and keep.

 

If your organization or classroom predominantly serves students from low-income families and/or works primarily with children from military families or those with disabilities, please click here for an application or share this link with other organizations and/or classroom teachers that you think might be interested.

Applications will be accepted until 11:59pm on Friday, September 5, 2014. All completed applications must be e-mailed to applications.firstbookdc@gmail.com.
