Senior Practice Associate, Washington DC Metro area
School Readiness Consulting seeks a Senior Practice Associate to support our successful teaching and learning portfolio. The Senior Practice Associate will support relationships with clients and the technical assistance we provide to state and district-‐level decision makers, principals, executive directors, coaches and other stakeholders involved in teaching and learning. The Senior Practice Associate supports initiatives across our Practice team and reports to School Readiness Consulting's Director as well as our Partnerships and Development Director.
The Senior Practice Associate must be immersed in the application of emerging ECE practice and research. She/he will support School Readiness Consulting's project development, implementation and communications work. Responsibilities:
Support School Readiness Consulting's vision, ongoing development and execution for Practice across the organization, including supporting our Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (EC TA Center).
Collaborate with coaches, school leaders and educators in a variety of ways to improve teaching and learning practices.
Serve as the liaison and support to School Readiness Consulting's development team on Practice-based proposals and initiatives.
Research and support the design of school leader and teacher trainings and tools to be used across the region.
Travel regionally to coach and train teachers for a variety of Practice projects.

Manage state and district level reporting requirements for Practice work.
Support SRC's Director in researching, preparing for and implementing professional learning opportunities for school and program leaders, coaches and teachers/providers.
Qualifications:
A distinguished track record in coaching or school leadership. Strong candidates possess significant experience (at least five years) in teaching or working in early childhood programs and/or systems.
Sophisticated knowledge of child development and progressive teaching and learning across the birth -- 8 continuum.
Experience in designing transformative professional learning experiences for adults strongly preferred. Strong applicants excel at researching and supporting comprehensive professional learning and have the content expertise to create resonant training materials, conceptualize meaningful, engaging learning experiences, and support training sessions for school and program leaders.
A demonstrated ability to integrate emerging research in early childhood brain development, cognition, and social emotional health and wellness into professional learning.
The ability to make sound decisions and communicate in accord with SRC's mission.

Demonstrated creativity and a high degree of initiative to design and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Strong project management skills and a disposition that will thrive in a fast-‐paced environment.

Strong skills in using Microsoft Office, Google Office apps, and project management software to support efficient project tracking, documentation, and communications.
