[YEP-DC] Research Survey: What is Informal Science Education

Hello, I have a survey request from Dr. Phyllis Katz at the University of Maryland. She is collecting information on the perception of informal science education. If you wouldn't mind, could you please share this with the group? The information and surveymonkey link is below.

What is informal science education?

Those of us who work in this field think we know who we are.  However, within the "informal science education" field, there is not consensus about the term (Rennie, 2014).  What about the greater public? We aren't sure.

It would be helpful to know if this term is recognized by the community for whom we work.  To find out, I have created a very short survey (under 3 minutes).  My name is Phyllis Katz.  I have a doctorate from the University of Maryland, where I remain affiliated as a Research Associate.  I have worked in science education for over 30 years.  Your responses will be anonymous. For any questions, please contact me at pkatz15@gmail.com.  The link to the survey is:

Thanks for any help in distributing this.

Best,

Phyllis
