There's often a tense reformer vs. teacher narrative in education policy that assumes that teachers and reformers exist in mutually exclusive spheres. Michael Savoy has spent much of his career trying to bridge that divide, moving from the classroom to DC VOICE and most recently, Teach Plus. What "tough love" feedback does he have for the loudest voices on both sides? He talks to Recess blogger Ashley Mitchel about this (and much more) in this month's Q&A, "Reformers vs. Teachers? Not So Much," here: http://www.youngedprofessionals.org/yep-dc-recess-blog/reformers-v-teachers-not-so-much
