[YEP-DC] Reminder: Participate in YEP-DC's Volunteer Newsletter - Ed-Volunteer

Beginning this March, YEP-DC will be disseminating a brand new education-centered volunteer newsletter: YEP-DC's Ed-Volunteer!

YEP-DC's Ed-Volunteer's mission is to make it easier and faster to connect YEP-DC members with programming and organizations who need volunteers for education and education-related functions: school beautification projects, one-on-one math tutors, after school homework club, Saturday reading groups, etc. This newsletter will expand YEP-DC's volunteerism and showcase our volunteer-members with vignettes, narratives, and images.

To do this, we will accept solicitations for volunteers from our members and at large during the first week of each month. We will then present these opportunities in newsletter form to our members during the following week.

With that said, we are eager to get started! If you work for or know of an organization, school, or program that needs volunteers for an ed-related volunteer opportunities, please write to us at dc@youngedprofessionals.org.  The first edition of the newsletter will go out the week of March 11th, so please send any opportunities for this edition by Monday, March 4th.

Please include:

1. The host organization and appropriate contact person.

2. A description of the volunteering that is needed.

3. Time, date and place of the volunteering.

4. The amount of volunteers needed.

5. Best sign up method.
