Over the past 60 years, Washington, DC has been home to some of the greatest banjo players in America. The DC Banjo Project celebrates this legacy and features such greats as Bill Emerson, Eddie Adcock, Dick Smith, Don Bryant, Reed Martin, Mike Munford, Cathy Fink, Stephen Wade and many more. The banjoists are backed by an all star-band, including Michael Cleveland, Marshall Wilborn, Danny Knicely and Nate Leath. Produced by Patuxent Music, the project will be available on CD this summer.
Get a preview of what's in store at the 4th Annual DCBluegrass Festival on the Workshop stage at 5:30 PM when Mike Munford, Mark Delaney, Reed Martin, Ira Gitlin and Randy Barrett gather to highlight some of the selections from the project.
