The Curriculum Specialist will provide leadership and coordination with the ongoing development, implementation and management of the CAPCS curriculum.
Performance Responsibilities
· Facilitate the curriculum review process
· Plan, facilitate, present and evaluate training that supports the aligned curriculum
· Integrate campus specific foci within the instructional programs
· Provide training and technical assistance to Instructional Coaches and Academy Leaders in the development and maintenance of standards based curriculum and delivery of staff professional learning
· Collaborate with Special Education and Bilingual/ELL Specialists to develop differentiated instructional materials for all learners (We should add something about the development of "advanced, gifted and talented or accelerated learners"…not sure of the new buzz words here)
· Ensure vertical curriculum alignment between the early childhood, elementary and middle school content areas
· Assist in the development of teacher and student resources that utilize research based instructional practices
· Select and modify existing instructional materials as well as develop new instructional materials such as, but not limited to: training guides and toolkits
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education Administration or related area
- 3-5 years School Leadership experience
