Jumpstart DC currently has an opening for a Development intern in our Washington, DC office this Spring semester. Applications are accepted through our website at http://www.jstart.org/about/careers.
The intern will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day development work, including managing fundraising appeals, creating communications materials, assisting in internal donor information management and research, and supporting event planning. This is a great opportunity for someone with interest in nonprofit special events, who possesses strong attention to detail, basic research experience, good interpersonal and project management skills, and interest in working in a mission-driven environment.
Jumpstart is a national early education organization that recruits and trains college students and community volunteers to work with preschool children in low-income neighborhoods. Through a proven curriculum, these children develop the language and literacy skills they need to be ready for school, setting them on a path to close the achievement gap before it is too late. Join us to work toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed. Learn more at www.jstart.org.
