On Saturday, January 26th 2013 from 9:30am - 12pm, Thurgood Marshall Academy, located at 2427 Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE, Washington, DC (across the street from the Anacostia metro station), will host a College Scholarship Event open to its graduating seniors. Thurgood Marshall Academy, Washington, DC's law-themed public charter school, has achieved college acceptance for its first eight graduating classes. In order to make college a reality for its predominately low-income students, Thurgood Marshall Academy provides intensive support during the college financial aid application process. As part of this effort, during our Scholarship Event this Saturday, volunteers will help seniors complete scholarship applications to support enrollment in post-secondary education.
