 ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW:

KIPP DC is a network of high-performing, college-preparatory charter schools in Washington D.C. which serve the city's underresourced communities. At KIPP DC, there are no shortcuts: outstanding educators, more time in school, a rigorous collegepreparatory curriculum, and a strong culture of achievement and support help our students make significant academic gains and continue to excel in high school and college. KIPP DC currently operates ten schools, serving over 3,000 students from early childhood through high school. In July 2013, KIPP DC will open its 4th early childhood school and 4th elementary school, to serve even more students in the District of Columbia.

The incorporation of mandatory summer school, Saturday School, and extended hours during the week allows KIPP DC schools to develop innovative and highly effective instruction to all of our students.
