The National Capital Region and Maryland Chapters of the U.S. Green Building Council are hosting a one-day Green Schools Summit Saturday March 2, 2013 from 9am-5:30pm at American University. The Summit will feature:

• Six workshops from which to choose with one track devoted to Curriculum & Education
  
• A lunchtime panel of local university Sustainability Directors sharing lessons that Higher Ed can share with K-12 institutions
• A keynote address from Steve Ritz- Founder of the Bronx Green Machine (check out his amazing TED talk here: http://on.ted.com/Ritz)
• A choice of two school tours- one of Stoddard Elementary School, and one of Sidwell Friends Schools
  
• A networking happy hour
