About the role:
iMentor is seeking a strategic, results-focused leader to serve as its Managing Director of Talent (MDT), leading all aspects of talent strategy including, talent acquisition, performance, and retention. S/he will serve as an advisor to staff across the organization and will provide insight and guidance on key strategic decisions for the organization.
Building on iMentor's history of investing in talent, the next MDT will have the opportunity to lead iMentor during a time of unprecedented organizational growth. In the next 5 years, iMentor will double the pairs served in our New York program, expand national partnerships, and replicate the iMentor model to three new cities. Our team will grow from 85 to 180 people. The MDT is responsible for ensuring iMentor has the human capacity to achieve these goals and for evolving iMentor's talent management strategy and systems to drive performance and retention.
What we're looking for in our Managing Director of Talent:
· 10+ years of successful recruiting, talent development, project management, and/or team management experience
· An enthusiastic ambassador for iMentor with excellent people judgment and a track record of recruiting talent
· A strategist and tactician, with the ability to develop a vision, design and implement systems, and inspire and influence others to achieve shared goals
· Someone who is energized by working in a high growth, and results oriented environment
· A skilled leader and manager in their own right who can also coach, advise, and provide thought partnership to others
· An excellent communicator and listener with experience working on building organizational culture, including diversity/inclusion initiatives
