Position Announcement #114006 – Project Coordinator, Education
 
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is a private, nonprofit corporation created to ensure universal access to non commercial high quality programming and telecommunications services. CPB is currently seeking to hire a Project Coordinator, Education (Level 5). Salary $40,800 - $56,100. This position reports directly to the Project Manager, Education.

General Description:
Takes a leading role in information management supporting the Education Department SVP, VPs and project officers. Develops departmental presentations, memos, talking points and other internal and external communications and reports. Develops and maintains project tracking system (i.e. SharePoint database), electronic filing systems, and planning calendars. Supports execution of Education department meetings and events, including but not limited to, presentations and materials, venue management, travel logistics, participant communications, and budget tracking. Acts as liaison with external vendors, special guests, presenters, station personnel and other CPB colleagues as needed. Manages contracts related to such events, meetings, and presentations as needed. 
 
Specific Responsibilities:
1.       Maintain and update departmental project tracking system (i.e. SharePoint) for grants, contracts, deliverables, etc.  Develop new components for project tracking system, as required, including addition of contacts, partners, etc.
2.       Organizes and prepares complex sets of data and information into compelling presentations, graphics and written communications.
3.       Draft and edit Board updates and memos, project overview/background materials and talking points/correspondence for internal and external use.
4.       Support department's role at industry meetings, special events, public media station consultations and other meetings, including, travel and meeting logistics, financial tracking including invoice payment and expense reimbursement for meeting attendees.
5.       Produce special reports and analyses, maintain project planning calendars, and coordinate cross-departmental team meetings.
 
6.       Create, update, and enforce timelines and task lists for meeting deadlines on events and department-wide projects.
7.       Draft Education departmental weekly report and other special reports on departmental activities as requested.
8.       Set up and maintain departmental electronic shared files.
9.       Performs other duties as assigned.
 
 Required Qualifications:
1.       Bachelor's degree in communications, education, business, or a related field, or combination of equivalent coursework and experience.
2.       A minimum of three years related work experience, preferably in a position requiring skills in communications, digital media, data or project management, and/or administration.
3.       Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to generate original presentations, correspondence and reports.
4.       Demonstrated computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation and graphics software, and database programs; strong web-based research skills.
5.       Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and foster relationships through a professional presence and interact competently and courteously with a variety of people both internal and external to CPB.
6.       Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
7.       Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and issues of varying complexity, while managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
8.       Attention to detail.

 Desired Qualifications:

1.       Knowledge of the media and education fields and developing technologies.
2.       Familiarity with the public media system, its services and products.
