[dcab-l] register now for fun pickin contests and shows!

The Loudoun Bluegrass Festival is now just around the corner (Saturday, May 10). Remember that advanced tickets are only $15 per adult ($25 at the gate) and one can get $5 of that money back for competing in one of the individual pickin contests! (Mandolin, fiddle, banjo, guitar). There are also band contests too. It only costs $15 per band to register for the band contests and the prizes for the band contests are $300 is 1st place, $200 is 2nd place, $100 is third place. There is also a day full of led old time, Irish, and bluegrass jams, workshops on many instruments (Sierra Hull is doing a mandolin workshop for instance and the great Joe Herrmann is leading an old time jam for instance). Also there will be raffles like for a brand new Eastman Mandolin and CD from Smithonian Folkways, etc.
Also the Sexi Mexi Wagon will be there this year with vegetarian, vegan, gluten fre etc options as well as the regular BBQ, beer, wine and pizza.
All profits got to Rotary Club charity projects
