About School Readiness Consulting

Children are at the center of what we do. School Readiness Consulting is founded and run by early childhood education experts and leaders who envisioned a better way to provide practice-based support, policy and systems consultation, and program evaluation. School Readiness Consulting has partnered with urban school districts to national non-profits serving children and families in pursuit of our mission. To date, we have partnered with 50 school districts, over 400 schools, and over 1,100 classrooms in 20 states, Washington D.C and the U.S. Virgin Islands, touching the lives of over 600 administrators, 2,200 teachers and 35,000 children.

We have demonstrated results as proven experts in early childhood learning and development. We accelerate classrooms into environments where inspired and knowledgeable adults facilitate learning and Common Core readiness at remarkable levels. A centerpiece of our practice is our EC TA Center, which provides a professional learning community for early childhood programs to meet each program’s comprehensive professional development needs.

Schools that participate in our EC TA Center demonstrate growth in classroom quality indicators that elevate them into centers of excellence. One way to understand this growth is to look at the CLASS results in our member schools. Teachers in our EC TA Center outperform their peers in teaching concept development, language modeling, and giving rich quality of feedback to early learners, as measured by the CLASS.
