GIRLS Empowerment Seminar comes to the nation's capital
(Washington, DC) – From Beyonce's girls run the world to Michelle Obama's Let's Move, the nation's capital is creating opportunities to empower young girls to be strong, powerful, and healthy. Continuing the tone of the First Lady and its dedication to the uplifting of young girls, IN THE LOOP Program of Success in association with Blu Topaz, Inc. Educational Consulting presents GIRLS Empowerment Seminar: Empower YOU on July 13, 2013, at Richard Wright Public Charter School in Southeast DC.
GIRLS Empowerment Seminar: Empower YOU is about giving girls tools to build self-awareness, increase self-value, expand their inner and outer beauty and create healthy habits promoting a long and healthy lifestyle.
The seminar consists of workshops, a keynote address by recording artist, Deborah Bond, and a vendor expo featuring organizations that will continue the work of empowering the participants to be outstanding leaders. Workshops are designed to engage, entertain and expose the young girls to something new. From fitness fun, beauty basics, leadership styles, to exploring STEM careers, the GIRLS Empowerment Seminar: Empower YOU features something for every girl.
"Our inaugural DC seminar comes almost a decade to the date of our first Atlanta seminar. So, I'm very excited about this GIRLS Empowerment Seminar," states Carletta S. Hurt, Director of the IN THE LOOP Program of Success. "Our speakers, presenters and panelists bring an amazing array of skills and talent to this event. The program is going to inspire, motivate and encourage girls in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area." The GIRLS Empowerment Seminar was developed under the belief that it takes a village to raise a child. It is designed to expose young girls between the ages of 12-17 to activities that will assist them in gaining insight about themselves and the world around them.

Trying is an honorable failure. Make sure you are DOING all you can everyday!
Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so..
Love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a chance , TAKE IT!
If it changes your life , LET IT!
Nobody said it would be easy...
They just promised it would be worth it!
