[YEP-DC] Position Available: Education Account Coordinator, Hager Sharp

Hager Sharp is seeking an Account Coordinator/Account Executive (depending on years of experience) who wants to put his/her research, technical and logistical skills to work for a team that provides a broad range of support for a leading education client.

Hager Sharp is an independent, employee-owned communications firm in Washington, D.C. Since 1973, it has built a reputation for national public education and social marketing campaigns that help people live healthier, safer, and smarter lives. This is a unique opportunity that is not a traditional PR position.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Track the receipt, feedback, and approval of contractual deliverables
  • Review publications
  • Support the development of client presentations
  • Participate in meetings, and provide minutes and action items
  • Conduct technical reviews for special studies and projects, as requested
  • Provide general project support, as requested

 Qualifications:

  • Experience or interest in education
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Ability to analyze and summarize complex data and information for public consumption
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines producing high quality work
  • Research skills with an eye towards the public consumption of education data
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project, Adobe
  • Quick-learner and self-starter with a positive attitude and an eye for details

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prefer a minimum of two years of similar work experience
