College Summit has grown to serve 50,000 students annually in 12 states by partnering with high school principals, teachers and the most influential students in lower-income communities to raise their college-going and success rates.

We partner with high schools to:
- Offer a postsecondary planning course for students in grades 9-12, and provide educators with professional development, and onsite coaching to successfully lead this class.
- Mobilize peer influencers through powerful training in summer workshop and school year activities to forge a student-driven college-going culture.
- Use data to manage the school-wide postsecondary planning and college enrollment and college persistence process.
Job Description
The school partnership manager is primarily responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with high school partners, counselors, teachers, and principals, and managing the delivery and implementation of College Summit's curriculum and services in an assigned region. The school partnership manager maintains a strong local presence at College Summit's summer workshops and grows support from community stakeholders including local volunteers, school district officials, and higher education institutions. During the 2013-14 academic year College Summit will serve almost 5,000 students from 28 high schools throughout the Baltimore-Washington corridor.
- Works with high school principals, counselors, teachers, and students to build a college-going culture within schools by building school capacity, ensuring optimal utilization of College Summit technology and tools, and by leveraging student voice in the college application process.
- Ensures the successful implementation, delivery, and support of College Summit Curriculum at partner schools, including: recruiting students and teachers; conducting orientation, training and professional development sessions for school staff; monitoring milestones, and ensuring participation and successful completion of the program.
- Delivers excellent customer service to key stakeholders within the school community.
- Gathers and disseminates programmatic data and results to collaborate with principals on strategies for maximizing the impact of College Summit's programs.
- Assists partner high schools in coordinating Peer Leader events to enhance student results throughout the year.
- Partners with the National Workshop Operations staff to manage workshop operations and logistics, recruit volunteer workshop staff and manage student registrations.
- Works with prospective and current school districts, Colleges and Universities, and community stakeholders to obtain support for the continued expansion of College Summit in National Capital Region.
- Required Skills
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-7 years related experience in a high school, higher education institution or education related organization
- Strong candidates will have a solid understanding of the college application and admissions process and will have demonstrated experience in at least two of the following areas: Youth development, teacher training and professional development, and/or curriculum design and delivery.
- Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred.
- Knowledge of the college admissions process, especially with respect to students who are the first in their families to attend college.
- Knowledge of adult learning and effective facilitation principles and practices.
- Understanding of and commitment to local Baltimore-Washington corridor schools and students.
- A creative, results oriented team player who is comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders in diverse environments, including experience crafting and delivering presentations.
- Willingness and the ability to travel locally up to 75% throughout the Baltimore-Washington corridor.
