[dcab-l] Tuesday December 31: Bluegrass Open Mike

Get ready for the next Bluegrass Open Mike, to take place Tuesday December 31 from 8:00-midnight at the American Legion Post 268 and featuring a big New Year's Eve party with the Beltway Mountain Boys.  There'll be party hats, noisemakers, balloons, and a potluck supper, and we'll go until midnight to ring in the New Year.  It'll be a blast!

The American Legion Post 268 is at 11225 Fern Street, Wheaton, MD, easily accessible by car and just two blocks from the Wheaton Metro.

The Bluegrass Open Mikes feature something for everyone:

*  an open mike for those who'd like to strut their stuff on stage with a PA;

*  a concert series featuring the Capital Region's many talented local bands;

*  a separate room for jamming.

Many of the top DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia bands have already been booked to headline at the Bluegrass Open Mikes, including the Beltway Mountain Boys, Buck Stone and the Bucktones, Lonesome Pine, Bluegrass Camp, Rattlesnake Hill, Newgrass Effect, Durham Station, Gravel Road, King Street Bluegrass, Mountain Ride, Taste of Bluegrass, the Flower Hill String Band, and the Tumbleweeds.  Applications for next year are now being accepted.
