Reach Incorporated is looking for volunteers to assist the Program Associate for Evaluation & Improvement in assessing our elementary school students and high school tutors by conducting individual (one-on-one) reading assessments during assigned evaluation windows.
*Stipend and/or course credit may be considered. Must be available Monday - Thursday afternoons from 3:30 - 4:30pm or 4:00 - 5:00pm. Evaluations will take place at partner schools in the District of Columbia.
Specific Duties Responsibilities
To be considered for this position of Evaluation Assistant, the applicant must:
The Evaluation Assistant must commit to working 4 – 6 hours a week during the following windows:

Qualifications and Desired Skills
- Attend 2 – 3 hours of training to gain familiarity with assessment protocols.
- Ensure all tutors or students at the assigned school are assessed within a 2-week window.
- Record the results of all assessments in the manner described during training.
- Respect tutor and student confidentiality by protecting all collected data.
- Complete all required documentation on time.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
To be considered for this position of Evaluation Assistant, the applicant must:
- Complete the DCPS Volunteer screening and background check;
- Demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills;
- Exhibit a level of comfort interacting with adolescent tutors and elementary school students.
The Evaluation Assistant must commit to working 4 – 6 hours a week during the following windows:
- January 27 – February 20
- May 5 – May 29

All training will occur at Reach's office. Each Evaluation Assistant will be assigned to one of our three program sites. All locations are listed below:
