The mission of the Capital Teaching Residency program (CTR) is to close the achievement gap by increasing the number of highly effective educators in the District of Columbia. POSITION OVERVIEW:
The CTR Program Coordinator will be a critical part of the CTR program. The position will work closely with the KIPP DC Headquarters staff, the CTR Program Team including the CTR Program Director, CTR Manager of PD and Certification and CTR Manager of Alumni and Partnerships, and the residents, and will report to the Director of the Capital Teaching Residency Program.
The Capital Teaching Residency Program Coordinator role is to maximize the impact of the program by driving projects and supporting initiatives related to the recruitment, selection, matriculation, and on-boarding of new CTRs and maintaining corps communication. The Coordinator will also be responsible for supporting the administration and logistics of KIPP DC's ECE Certification Program. They will be responsible for ensuring that 100% of our incoming CTRs are fully compliant with federal, state, and district certification requirements by the first day of school, and that they complete all required coursework, assessments and paperwork for the KIPP DC Certification Program. As such, the Coordinator will be primarily focused on reaching goals for recruitment and certification compliance.
Additionally, a portion of the Coordinator's responsibility will include supporting the team in general through event planning, preparing for professional development sessions and marketing material production and distribution. The Coordinator will also support the CTR Director with special projects on an as-needed basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a full-time and engaged member of CTR and KIPP DC's staff, including accompanying students on field trips, assisting with teacher and student recruitment and enrichment activities, and working with other staff members to ensure fulfillment of KIPP DC's mission.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree is a plus
· Flexibility, tenacity, high quality work, resourcefulness, teamwork, and a sense of humor
· Outstanding project management and organizational skills, and extraordinary attention to detail
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
· Results-oriented team player who is dedicated to getting the job done, and an entrepreneurial spirit to accommodate a high level of responsibility and multiple priorities

- Work with the KIPP DC and E.L. Haynes recruitment teams to strategize about CTR recruitment, attend recruitment events and provide logistical support for CTR recruitment events and interview days
- Coordinate, prepare materials for and attend all CTR interview days
- Travel to training sessions and partner schools, across the district, to provide technology and logistical support to the CTR team
- Coordinate and attend all CTR Saturday Professional Development Sessions and Summer Professional Development sessions including CTR Induction
- Support CTRs in certification coursework and testing, including tracking and managing an online system for attendance, assessment outcomes and Praxis completion rates
- Perform clerical duties, as required, relating to CTR textbooks, contracts, certification, attendance reports, etc.
- Support the tracking of budgets for CTR certification programming, marketing and special events
- Maintain an organized data collection and analysis process for the evaluations, surveys and student achievement data of CTRs and CTR alumni
- Create high-quality reports related to resident data
- Have the ability to lift up to or around 40 lbs
