The Dorothy I. Height Community Academy Public Charter School (CAPCS) serves children from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade, we have four physical campuses and one virtual campus. CAPCS is currently recruiting for an IT Specialist!

 

Job Function:

 

The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to the school and administrative offices and does related work as required.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, modify and make minor repairs to computer hardware
• Installs and configures computer operating systems
• Installs and builds "standard" computer images
• Installs or assists service personnel in the installation of peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, disk drives, and scanners
• Connects and configures computer labs
• Resolves basic network and wiring problems
• Provides technical assistance and training to users
• Maintains and accurate inventory of physical assets

 

 Minimum Qualifications:

 

• Two (2) years College, Trade School or related work experience required
• A-Plus Certification or two (2) year related work experience required; MCSE completed classes preferred.
• Good knowledge of how a network operates;
• Good knowledge of how a variety of Operating Systems function as stand-alone and networked;
• Ability to work cooperatively as a team member;
• Effective human relations skills;
• Good oral and written communications kills;
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

 

Salary is commensurate with position, experience and qualifications.
