[dcab-l] Jam at Hailey's Farm on June 22

We have received inquiries about the "slow jam" portion of the event on June 22 as to whether the slow jam will last only one hour. The answer is "No."

The slow jam starts at 2:00 so we can focus on getting it "off the ground". The slow jam will then continue for as long as we have slow jammers.

Meanwhile the standard jammers will arrive (at 3:00). Slow jammers desiring to do so may then move to the standard, "no holds barred" jam.

BTW we will have coaches at the slow jam. John Burton has just advised he will be there for mandolin. Other coaches (Steve Potter - unless he has a gig - on guitar, etc., Bruce Gair and a couple others on banjo). We are lacking a fiddle coach. Our bass coach, Donna Gair, just had surgery but might make it by then. But, even if there is no coach for your instrument, the coaches have enough jamming experience that you will get assistance if needed.

Directions again: From I-66 west go past Manassas to Gainesville Route 29. Go south toward Warrenton past Route 15 and past Vint Hill Road to a right turn lane at Pilgrim's Rest. Go right and turn to the right again at the third street, Covey Road. Go 1/2 mile to a pond and take a hard left into the asphalt driveway of 6206 Covey Road (for GPS call it "Warrenton").

This is a great opportunity to steal techniques from others!!
