Dear YEP community,
I would like to invite you to attend the ED Youth Voices Policy Briefing session on "Students Transforming Communities and Schools" on Thursday, June 27, 10-11:30 a.m. at the U.S. Department of Education LBJ Building, Barnard Auditorium located at 400 Maryland Ave. SW, Washington, DC. You can also watch us online at EDstream network. <http://edstream.ed.gov/>
This briefing session will spotlight three organizations in urban school districts—including Boston, Philadelphia and Baltimore—that are working to give students a voice in local education issues. Speakers include current students who will talk about their experiences and successes as young leaders taking action to fix important aspects of education to better meet the needs of young people.
Attached is an invite with RSVP information, please forward to your networks.
Sincerely,
Sam
