Year Up National Capital Region—Woodbridge NOVA Campus: Launch an IT or Cyber Security Career!
Greetings! Year Up is a national non-profit and our goal is to empower young people, 18-24 years old, from low/moderate income backgrounds to have full-time employment and pursue certifications and degrees. We are excited to launch a new location in Woodbridge, VA on the Northern Virginia Community College—Woodbridge Campus.
Students take NOVA college courses on-campus, learning the information technology or cyber security skills and professionalism needed to launch a successful career. We then match them to an internship for six months. They earn a stipend throughout the year, 25-30 credits and a holistic support. Within four months of completing the program, 85% of graduates are employed full-time making a starting average wage of $17/hour and, or continuing education full-time.
Anyone interested should submit an interest form at http://yearup.org/for-students/ and attend an information session at NOVA—Woodbridge's campus, 15200 Neabsco Mills Road, Woodbridge, VA, in the Seefeldt Building, Room 230A
