[YEP-DC] PD: Yoga for Classrooms, for special needs, or afterschool - trainings this summer and fall

Do you want to use the tools of yoga, breath, and mindfulness to help your students develop self-regulation skills, resiliency, and overall wellness? Breathing Space, a family wellness program on Capitol Hill, will host several trainings this summer and fall that can teach you how:

Yoga 4 Classrooms - July 13, Oct 3, or Dec 7 - is for K-12 teachers and other elementary-secondary school professionals who wish to incorporate yoga throughout the classroom day, integrated into your regular routines, without moving tables and chairs or removing shoes. Learn how to incorporate yoga techniques in 30 second, 1 min, 5 min, or longer increments to facilitate transitions, provide brain/movement breaks, and enhance learning readiness.

ChildLight Yoga Teacher Training - Oct 9-11 - is great for folks teaching preschool-PreK or in any setting that allows for more freedom of movement than the typical K+ classroom. This comprehensive children's yoga teacher training program is designed to provide yoga and mindfulness practitioners with the tools and knowledge needed to share the gifts of yoga with children. Training addresses teaching yoga to children ages 2-teens, with a concentration on ages 2-12yrs. Ideal for early childhood (preschool-K), PE teachers, special subjects teachers, afterschool teachers, therapists or anyone wishing to offer a group class of 15 min to an hour or more for children, including adult yoga instructors wishing to expand into children's yoga. Already taken this training with us? Level 2 will be held Nov 11-13!

My OmAbilities Yoga Teacher Training - July 24-26 - is designed for working with teen (or adult) students with special needs and varying abilities. This training is ideal for secondary school PE teachers, therapists, resources teachers or others working with students with autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome and more. The training focuses on offering a group class, but techniques can be used individually as well.

ChildLight Yoga for Teens - Dec 4-6 - is a yoga teacher training intensive designed to inspire and empower those who work with adolescents to share yoga and mindfulness techniques developed especially for teens aged 13-18. This training focuses on developmentally-appropriate yoga postures, breathing techniques, reflective discussions and other practices with the intention of cultivating mindfulness and resilience. Great for secondary school PE teachers

ChildLight Yoga Baby & Toddler Teacher Training - Dec 11-13 - is for infant and toddler educators, childcare professionals, yoga instructors or even parents wishing to share yoga with babies or toddlers through 2 years old. This weekend-long training will provide you with the tools and inspiration you need to successfully integrate yoga-based movement, songs, games, and relaxation into their day.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. All of our trainings are part of the ChildLight Yoga's 95 hour Children's Yoga School and eligible for Yoga Alliance continuing education; CEUs may be available for others depending on your credentialing agency.
