POSITION TITLE: Director of Programs FLSA: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Executive Director DIVISION: Corporate
POSITION PURPOSE
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Programs will plan, direct, and lead programmatic operations, serving as a representative of FLOC's work and programming in the community, overseeing staff development and training initiatives, and growing and nurturing a mission-based culture and community. The Director of Programs will manage FLOC's day-to-day programmatic operations, and lead the programmatic managerial staff in continual evaluation, growth and improvement of FLOC's youth programming in alignment with FLOCs strategic planning initiatives. The Director of Programs is also responsible for ensuring a mission-based culture among staff, volunteers and supporters through continual professional development and community building activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate would be:
- MA in Education, Public Policy, MSW, or Business/Management preferred
- Experience in a data driven, highly rigorous, evaluation environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership positions, supervision of peers, general management
- Experience with youth development, civic engagement and community organizing
- Experience with fiscal management and budget development
- Experience with resource development, grants administration, training, program/business development
- An excellent oral and written communicator
- Knowledgeable and experienced with educational programming in DC
- Enthusiastic for our mission and the non-profit sector and passionate about the youth we serve
