Join our promotional partners at the World Folk Music Association as they present a very special showcase at the El Golfo Restaurant in Silver Spring, MD. This showcase will feature Chuck Mitchell, a multi-talented singer, songwriter and actor. Chuck first appeared on the folk music scene in the 60s, singing in coffeehouses with his then wife, Joni Mitchell. His credits include A Prairie Home Companion, and repertory theatre in Texas and England. He has played Harold Hill in The Music Man, and Woody Guthrie in Woody Guthrie's American Song. Most recently, he wrote and produced Mr. Foster & Mr. Twain, in which Stephen Foster joins Mark Twain for an evening of story and song.In addition, the showcase will feature the talented local singer-songwriter, Collin Warren and the final showcase appearance by the WFMA "houseband," Side by Side. |
