[YEP-DC] Now accepting applications for YEP-DC bloggers!

YEP-DC's Recess blog is looking for bloggers!

Have you ever read a report or news story and walked away with an opinion? Met an education professional who you think D.C. needs to know about? Attended a YEP-DC event that changed the way you thought? YEP-DC's Recess blog has opportunities for you!

 

We're looking for bloggers who have:

• An interest in education policy, practice, or research
  
•  A sense of what's trending or important in the education scene, either in D.C. or nationally
  
•  A unique perspective and strong voice as a writer

As a blogger, you choose your topics and work with an editor to hone your writing skills each month. This is an excellent opportunity to gain writing experience and published clips. The following positions are currently available:

• Commentary blogger: Posts on topics of your choosing
  
• Q&A blogger: Interviews with other ed professionals in D.C.
  
• YEP-DC events blogger: Recaps and commentary on major YEP-DC events

This is a volunteer position. Bloggers must be able to commit to publish one post per month for six months, beginning in June 2015.
