Chavez Schools is dedicated to empowering students through public policy to create a more just, free, and equal world. To that end, all Seniors are required to research a public problem and offer a policy solution. These solutions are shared before a panel of judges through the culminating Final Thesis Presentation events.
Judges are community volunteers who sit on a panel with 2-3 other community members. They listen to students present their Thesis and evaluate their work along a given rubric. The students with the highest scores will be considered as presenters for our annual Public Policy Symposium on June 5th.
Please consider volunteering for one (or all!!) of the following Final Thesis Presentation events:
- Capitol Hill Campus (709 12th St, SE)
- Monday, May 18th, 5:30-7:30pm
- Tuesday, May 19th, 5:30-7:30pm
- Parkside Campus (3701 Hayes St, NE)
- Wednesday, May 20th, 5:30-7:30pm
- Thursday, May 21st, 5:30-7:30pm
