[YEP-DC] Job Opportunity: Research Assistant position with A World at School

A World At School has an opening for a research assistant position based in Washington DC and reporting directly to the Director of Policy and Advocacy.

In this role, the right candidate will:

• Manage research and policy publication process; produce quality content/background materials on thematic areas e.g. education in emergencies, financing, child marriage, child labour etc.
  
• Work directly with Director of Policy & Advocacy and support the management of organizational policy, research and advocacy portfolio
  
• Conduct background research and translate research into advocacy tools
  
• Support and liaise with other teams to link policy asks with other projects (internal and external)
  
• Support scheduling and logistics as needed for the Director

The ideal candidate will be a great writer, critical thinker and a problem solver and will have:

• Qualitative and quantitative research skills
  
• The ability to self-manage and be flexible in a fast pace work environment and work well with a remote team in New York City and London
  
• BA or MA with background in development studies, social sciences, humanities or other relevant field
  
• An understanding of global education is highly desirable.
