[YEP-DC] Apply for a Team First Book-DC Book Grant! Deadline: May 29th

 

 

Dear Educators,

 

If you work with a program serving kids in DC who are in need of books, apply for a Team First Book-DC book grant today! 

 

Team First Book-DC raises funds to provide eligible classrooms, school libraries, and programs with high-quality, brand-new books to the students they serve, and we are currently accepting applications for our Quarter 2 grant cycle. After receiving a grant, educators can select books from the First Book National Marketplace and create lesson plans and classroom activities using these books. If not intended for a school or classroom library, these books are then given to the kids to take home and keep.

 

If you work at a school or organization that predominantly serves students from low-income families and/or works primarily with children from military families or those with disabilities, please click here to complete our​ application or share this link with other organizations and/or classroom teachers that you think might be interested. We especially encourage teachers and organizations working with students this summer to apply. We will give priority to summer programs. 

 

Applications will be accepted until 11:59pm on Friday, May 29, 2015.
