[YEP-DC] JOB POSTING: Math Instructor at an Adult Ed Charter School

Community College Preparatory Academy is looking for someone to fill our learning lab manager position. 

Duties 

Learning Lab Manager must be able to document student progress to attainment pre-established milestones and/or to make necessary adjustments in the learning plans to include identification of additional resources and/or support services. Learning Lab Manager must also be able to Encourage and motivate students by regularly reviewing student records to ensure appropriate documentation is maintained, student progression or lack thereof is up to date, activities and/or trainings are being conducted, and consistent. Provide a written summary to the Student Success Specialist bi-weekly to give the student view from the lab manager's point of view. 

EDUCATION
A minimum Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field or a combination of education and work experience.
 
EXPERIENCE  
Demonstrated ability to understand the psychological and cultural characteristics of
educationally disadvantaged students. Excellent counseling skills. Must have previous experience working with adults. Demonstrated knowledge of human growth and development, behavior management and life skills training. General knowledge of Microsoft products particularly ACCESS or previous experience in database management. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must have valid driver's license in state of residence. Must be insurable through employer-sponsored insurance. No active or pending felony judgments.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
 Must be able to engage in physical activities
