[YEP-DC] Reach Incorporated's Literacy Carnival is THIS Saturday! (6/8/13)

Hello All! 

This Saturday (June 8th) Reach Incorporated is hosting our first Literacy Carnival! Our tutors, supported by volunteers, will facilitate literacy-based games aimed at children Age 3 through Grade 3. Below are some examples of the activities we'll have for every child to enjoy:
  • The Spell & Splash: A dunk tank where you have to earn your throws by spelling words correctly.
  • Mad Scrambler: Using tiles, make as many words as possible. Like Ruzzle. 
  • Quick Shot: Get to shoot at basketball hoop for 30 seconds. Must spell word right to shoot.  
  • Memory Madness: Match phonemes, beginning/end of words (phone & stuff).
Special guests include Kaya Henderson and Robbie Russell, who will be readers at our Zoobean Story Time Stage!

The event will be from 10am - 2pm at Eastern Senior High School.
