The inaugural ARTWORKS ReThink Education Institute is created to inspire educators to ReThink their classrooms, invigorating classroom content with arts-based learning as a vehicle for student investment.
The Institute will be held at the Smithsonian's Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden from July 24-26. In addition to daily breakfast and lunch, educators will be provided with access to technology resources, national content and pedagogy experts, museum educators and peers while investigating ways to improve individual practice.
Art education has the power to encourage creative problem solving, inspire innovation, facilitate cross-cultural understanding and build literacy and language skills. Our three-day Institute's mission is to transform these broad understandings into action and provide access to arts-integration best practices for all grade levels and content disciplines.
While similar programs cost several hundred dollars, this program is an exceptional value, costing only $100 for all three days. In addition, a select number of educator scholarships are available.
