[YEP-DC] Save the Date: Do More 24 Happy Hour Fundraiser!

Hi Friends,

Save the date to join my organization, DC School Reform Now (DCSRN), for a happy hour on June 6, 2013, to benefit DCSRN's Do More 24 fundraiser campaign. Sponsored by United Way of the North Capital Area, Do More 24 is a 24-hour social media fundraiser for local nonprofits. Donations are encouraged and our goal is to raise $5,000, which will fund additional Virtual School Tours to be filmed in the fall of 2013.

Details for the happy hour:

• Date: June 6, 2013
  
• Time: 5:30pm to 7:30pm
  
• Location: The Front Page (1333 New Hampshire Ave, NW, across from the Dupont South metro)
  
• Prizes: Donors will have the chance to win coupons for Uber!!!

About DCSRN: DCSRN is educating, organizing and advocating to build support for public education strategies that prepare kids to become college and career ready.

About Virtual School Tours: Washington, DC is a major school choice city, meaning many parents choose to apply to schools other than their neighborhood school. However, with so many options, parents frequently want support determining which schools are the highest quality and are a good fit for their child. To ease this process for parents, this year DCSRN launched Virtual School Tours, which provide parents with greater access to make important comparisons about school quality. DCSRN's Virtual School Tours are the first of their kind to authentically show each aspect of a school day and currently include many of the highest quality public middle schools in Washington, DC.
