[YEP-DC] Attend the "Pep Rally Under the Stars" 2013 Gala and Make College a Reality for Teen Parents!

Generation Hope, a nonprofit that reduces poverty one family at a time by providing direct sponsorships and one-on-one mentoring to teen parents who are attending college in the Washington, D.C. Metro area, is hosting their second annual gala "Pep Rally Under the Stars" on Friday, June 28, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the University of Maryland Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center.  The event will be a fun-filled and elegant evening to celebrate another amazing year of the Scholar Program, including 11 young mothers on their way to a degree, college-readiness workshops for expecting and parenting high school students across the D.C. area, and more Scholars to come in the 2013/2014 academic year!   The keynote speaker will be Academy Award Nominated Actress and D.C. Native Taraji P. Henson.  Help them show their pride!  The evening is a mix of college spirit with glitz and glam so pull out your alma mater or favorite college memorabilia and wear it along with your best attire!  Proceeds from the event fund field trips, trainings, the Emergency Scholar Fund, and expenses to keep the organization running.  Tickets are just $125 per person or $225 per couple.  To purchase your tickets, table, or sponsorship, please go to:  www.supportgenerationhope.org/gala.
