Seven-Week Summer Teaching Opportunity - $4,000 Lead-teachers & $2,500 Teachers' Assistants!!

Emerging Scholars Program (ESP) is an agent for social change through the power of education and leadership training for high-achieving, underserved rising 5th and 6th grade students who aspire to reach their full academic potential. Through its intensive academic and leadership program, ESP prepares its Scholars to be future leaders of America who demonstrate character and a drive for excellence.

ESP seeks highly effective English Language Arts (ELA) and Math teachers for its seven-week summer program.

Job Description

Emerging Scholars Program is looking for ELA and Math lead-teachers and teachers' assistants who are passionate about teaching and learning. ESP's seven-week program is an engaging and intensive learning opportunity for highly capable scholars. The curriculum focuses on math, critical thinking, language arts, test taking skills, leadership... and FUN. ESP scholars and families have earned their place in the program through a rigorous admission process; scholars and parents take this opportunity very seriously - there are no discipline issues.

Job Details

✓ Math and Language Arts lead-teachers and teachers' assistants who seek to make a positive impact on the lives of tomorrow's leaders.

✓ Paid lead-teachers and teachers' assistants team-building workshops Wednesday, June 19 - Friday, June 21 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The training includes a CPR and First Aid course and certificate.

✓ Paid lead teachers and teachers' assistants ESP Parent and Staff Orientation Sunday, June 23 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

✓ Lead-teachers teach ELA or Math workshops for the seven-week summer program Monday, June 24 - Friday, August 9 from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM and proctor study hall one day a week from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. 

✓ Teachers' assistants serve as summer counselors and aftercare specialists for the 7-week summer program Monday, June 24 - Friday, August 9 from 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM.

✓ Location - Burgundy Farm Country Day School, Alexandria, VA (Huntington Metro Station).

✓ Lead-teacher compensation $4,000 and teachers' assistants compensation $2,500.
