EVENT 4/11: "Is the Golden Age of Private Research Universities Over?" Lecture and Reception with Professor Ron Ehrenberg

Please join Dean Michael Feuer and the George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development on April 11 for a special event featuring Professor Ron Ehrenberg, Director of the Cornell Higher Education Research Institute and the Irving M. Ives Professor of Industrial and Labor Relations and Economics. As a capstone to his three-day "Master Class," Professor Ehrenberg will deliver a lecture entitled "Is the Golden Age of Private Research Universities Over?" He will draw on his extensive expertise in economics and higher education to discuss the current state of private research universities and the challenges to  traditional financial models of higher education. Professor Ehrenberg will address the problems of rising tuition and financial aid, research costs, and expenditures on student services and administration, and will make recommendations for the future of private research universities.
